Best4Systems is a young and dynamic company specialising in supplying business telecoms equipment.

We have worked with Best4sytems, for over 5 years now and in that time they have established their company as one of the leading business telecoms supplier on the web.

Client's brief

To redesign and develop their ecommerce website and make sure that it would continue to work extremely well in search engines. The website needed to be a comprehensive catalogue of equipment and product information with incoming orders integrating with their offline mail order system.

Here's what we did

The original site was designed and developed by us in 2003, this year we gave it a face-lift. We kept the same ecommerce system, site structure and information architecture as the original site because it worked so well. The aim of the redesign was to improve the design, the conversion rates of online orders and provide better information to the user.

It was also extremely important to keep the sites natural Google search engine rankings. Through our search engine optimisation service the site is the highest ranking 'telephone systems' site in Google, with over 80% of the traffic coming through natural search engine results. With this in mind, we redeveloped the website using the latest coding techniques to improve its rankings without upsetting the underlining website structure or search engine results.

Our results

The site's traffic and search engine ranking position has continued to grow. When we launched the new website there was no loss of ranking with any search term and the site still ranks number 1 in Google.co.uk for terms such as "Telephone Systems" and "Conference Phones".

We improved the designs to give clearer product information and the addition of 'call to action' banners and buttons has lead to an increase in page views and a reduction in bounce rate.
