Crime Prevention Products are an online retail and wholesale supplier of personal safety equipment including personal alarms, burglar alarms to CCTV cameras.

Since we built their website back in 1993, the business has changed hands and we are now working with the new owner.

Client's brief

To design and develop an ecommerce website that would rank well in search engines and out perform their competitors websites.

Our search engine optimisation results

In one year we have increased sales by 325% and website traffic by 500% via search engine optimisation alone, with an average cost per click of 2.5p.

Over 80% of visitors come from natural search results, with over 5,000 different search terms being used to find the site each month.

Here's what we did

By researching their target markets, identifying the search phrases most likely to be used and building the ecommerce website from the ground up, we produced a site that out performs every one of their competitors for the broadest range of keyword phrases.

The site is integrated with Google Analytics ecommerce module so that we can monitor the conversion rates and revenues generated for each keyword and search engine. This allows us to keep tuning our ongoing optimisation strategy to keep the site firing on all pistons.

They have now expanded into wholesaling to the NHS and TUC amongst others.
